We tried to use the command line to add additional servers when we remoted into a VMWare 2008 Server (e.g., doorsd -minstall -p 36699 -s "C:\filepath\DOORSdata".
The command line showed no errors, nor did it say it created the DOORS 9.3 DB Server 000001. The registry showed nothing. The services showed nothing. But, the command "doorsd -list" showed the service was created. Upon searching the registries, we found the DOORS_Server instance was created in the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\DOORS_Server\9.3\Config00001" directory--which I have never seen before.
I tried the same exact commands on a Windows 7 64bit VM and everything worked perfectly as advertised.
Has anybody else run across this as well?
Thanks in advance,
Pete
